Y/delta motor control

Y/delta motor starter circuit. Contactor K1 was latched for continuous supply of current to the circuit its the main line contactor. When the relay timer coil T is energized it will supply current to contactor K2 which will enable the motor to run in star mode. At the set time the timer will drop which will cut off current from contactor K2 at the instance the other contact of the relay will makeup and supply current to contactor K3 which will make the motor to run in delta mode. The reason for this type of motor starter is becos the quantity of current being drawn from the line when u start directly with delta method is too much. Star connection takes lesser current
